A 6% Pure Retinol Peel provides dramatic and rapid rejuvenation of the skin by providing additional antioxidants within the formula, the skin is further protected from free radical damage. Skin is visibly smoother, brighter and evenly toned. This peel will effectively treat ageing skin. Pigment disorders, smoker’s skin, photodamaged skin, acne scarring and active acne. It is suitable for normal-more resilient skin where wrinkling, sun damage and acne, acne scarring and discolouration is apparent. Includes treatment for the hands and face. What are Glycolic Skin Peels and how do they work?
A superficial glycolic skin peel is a non invasive, quick and painless procedure. It can help fine lines, uneven skintone, texture, pigmentation and damaged skin. It is also has powerful antibacterial properties. It allows new skin to regenerate.
The skin peel is a type of Alpha Hydroxy Acid derived from sugar cane. It primarily works through it’s exfoliation properties. It penetrates the upper layer of the epidermis, weakening and binding properties of the lipids that hold dead skin cells together. This action allows the layer of dead skin cells to dissolve revealing the underlying skin.
What does the treatment involve?
- The skin is prepared with non drying Cleanser and Toner
- The Peel product is applied
- The Peel is Removed
- A Hydrating Treatment Mask is applied
- The mask is removed
- Post Treatment Recovery Moisturising Cream is applied
- An application of Vitamin C High Potency Serum completes the Peel Treatment.

Does it hurt?
Glycolic and Retinol skin peels are virtually painless. Some people mention they feel a slight tingling or a sensation similar to very mild sunburn, but this is temporary and many people actually enjoy the sensation it gives, owing to the fact it can help you to feel revitalised.
Should I have a 40% or 70% skin peel?
In most cases, a 40% peel will achieve the desired outcome and is the correct strength for many people. If you have had three 40% peels and want further, then you can proceed onto a 70% peel. This can be discussed at a free consultation.
